FAQ

Here are your most common SuperBusa questions, answered:

Is SuperBusa road legal?

If it’s legal in your country to fit an aftermarket exhaust to improve the acceleration and performance, then it should be just as legal to fit a supercharger. SuperBusa is road legal in every sense and retains the mirrors, lights, and indicators of the stock Hayabusa.

How fast does it go?

SuperBusa has been recorded at 218mph with slightly revised gearing, a crosswind, and 2 x GoPros mounted on its mirrors. Under the right conditions we estimate 225mph is easily within reach. However, it’s worth remembering that SuperBusa isn’t built purely for straightline speed – it is a roadbike with almost stock wheelbase and is designed to be ridden as an everyday machine from commuting, touring, or even the occasional trackday.

I’m in the UK, how do I buy a SuperBusa?

You will need a Hayabusa to supply us with a Hayabusa. We can convert an existing 3rd generation Hayabusa (2021 model – onwards) whether it’s old or new. Alternatively we can arrange the purchase of a new Hayabusa though TTS will be the first registered owner, therefore it’s easier if you supply the bike to us.

I’m in the USA, how do I buy a SuperBusa?

We work with trusted partners in the US who are able to install our SuperBusa supercharger kits on our behalf. You will need to supply the Hayabusa for conversion. Contact us for more details.

I’m in another country, how do I buy a SuperBusa?

As every country has different processes for imports, we will liaise with you to work out the best way to supply a SuperBusa to your part of the world. Currently we are only able to confirm SuperBusas for UK, USA and Canada, though there may be workarounds for European countries. Please contact us for more details.

How much does SuperBusa cost?

Prices for SuperBusa start at £50,000 and as well as the supercharger kit itself includes many chassis upgrades. Additionally, we can upgrade further other parts too, like full Ohlins suspension. As every SuperBusa is built to order, please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Will you take a kidney as payment?

It is completely possible to enjoy a full, healthy lifestyle following the removal of a kidney, though we would say you would get more mileage in having both kidneys still in situ. In all honesty, we would prefer traditional payment via bank transfer, or even cash. Call us old-fashioned.

Can you supply the SuperBusa without the winglets?

As well as aiding stability at high speeds and offering a horizontal space to place items on when parked up we believe the winglets are a part of the SuperBusa identity, though as each bike is uniquely as different as its riders we can leave them off if requested.

Do you sell the SuperBusa winglets separately?

Yes. They come in a complete kit with carbon fibre winglets and special mounting brackets. Contact us for the latest price.

How easy is it to ride as an everyday bike?

SuperBusa is every bit as easy to ride as a standard Hayabusa thanks to the advanced Suzuki electronics package. It may have twice the power of a stock bike but has a smoother delivery of that power when compared to a turbocharged equivalent, meaning less surprises to catch you out. We would still advise you to open the throttle with care.

Do you sell the supercharger kit separately?

Absolutely! Contact us for the latest price for Gen 3 kits

Does it use special tyres?

SuperBusa does not require special tyres, but we would advise you choose the tyres to suit your planned usage. We recommend a 200-55 size for the rear.

What’s the exhaust system on it?

We have tried many different systems, our favourite is a TRS custom exhaust with twin slash-cut outlets. It is the best balance of throaty roar, power (we’ve had a bike make up to 437bhp with it) and ground clearance.

Is there any special maintenance

SuperBusa does not require special maintenance above and beyond a stock Hayabusa

Does the supercharger stick out?

SuperBusa’s supercharger installation is neatly tucked away allowing for near-standard levels of ground clearance. Knee down? No problem.

Can I request a different paintscheme?

Yes, and we strongly suggest you do to personalise your SuperBusa even more! You can keep the SuperBusa with its standard paintwork or we can work with you to supply a bespoke Kardesign scheme to your liking as an additional extra.
